Happy Birthday Steve!

Man, he's getting old! 29 today...Ooh...that means you'll be 30 next year!

Oh wait...so will I...and before you will. Hmmm...

Well, in any case, enjoy the last year in your twenties! I sure will!

Household Current Projects...

Jennie's
* Re-typing all my recipes. (The pages somehow got wet and moldy...now they're going in page protectors!)

* My ~many~ DBZ fanfiction stories. (I think there are 8 I'm working on...)

* Designing Pre-school worksheets for Ivy and Riley to work on at home along with Ivy's speech therapy at school. Also, I'm making activity 'books' to keep them busy when we drive to NC to see Kim & Steve over Spring Break.

* Scrapbooking and makin' cards here and there.

* Getting ready for another short growing season. We're giving corn one more try before we write it off as not workable in our garden. The second sowing of peas are now producing, and the first head of broccoli is almost ready to be harvested!

* Working on my food storage...I figure spending $20 each month will be a good start. It's even easier now that I've been going to the LDS cannery with my dad and the Walmart close to home carries food storage items! (Psst! Let me know if anyone wants me to pick up storage items for them the next time I go!)

John's
* The grass is filling in nicely but now it needs to be mowed every other weekend! We lost the Christmas tree to the bad storms we had in January, but are viciously holding on to the ficus.

* Figuring out how to spray paint 6 dining room chairs a textured black to match my dining table...without leaving black marks on my walls!

* Building shelves for the awkward space in my pantry for food storage. 1 of 2 down!

* Building a 'potato box' for the back garden area. Both being Irish, we sure love our potatoes!

* Part-time side work for a computer game company...the man's a work-a-holic!

Ivy's and Riley's
Ivy's working on speech / pronunciation in school and at home and recognizing individual numbers without counting up to that number. She loves practicing her handwritting too!

Riley got all his shapes and colors down pat...and most of his alphabet. Although he's not in pre-school yet, we're working on matching items and letter recognition.

Drat...Christmas sabotaged me! Back to working harder at this weight-loss thing!
